How to Elect President Palin

The purpose of this site is to support electing Gov. Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, as  president in 2012.  This is a grassroots effort with no sponsorships and no endorsement from the potential candidate.  This is a site for political activism with only one goal, the election of Gov. Palin in 2012.

CALL TO SERVE
In the tradition of George Washington, Gov. Palin has indicated a willingness to serve if called upon.  Step one in getting Gov. Palin elected is to call her to serve.  The decision to mount a campaign will probably need to be made in early 2011.  Large crowds at her events are important and will send her the message that you are interested in her as a candidate.  Unprecedented sales of her biography, Going Rogue, indicate a large base of personal support.

SUPPORT WITH DOLLARS
Early contributions to www.sarahpac.com will enable a strong primary candidacy as well as helping candidates that can win back Congress in 2010.

ENABLE YOURSELF POLITICALLY
All of Gov. Palin's statements have indicated that if she were to be a candidate, it would be as a Republican.    Many of her supporters are registered Republicans.  Many of Gov. Palin's detractors are also registered Republicans.  In order for Gov. Palin to be the nominee of the Republican Party, several things will have to happen.  First, in most states, her supporters need to be registered as Republicans in order to vote for Gov. Palin in a primary election.  There is an element of the Party that regards Gov. Palin as a trick pony that can bring in huge audiences, perform her magic, and then can be put back in the barn while a candidate anointed by the hierarchy of the party runs the big race.  We have to take control of the party away from people who think this way if a candidate of the people is ever going to run for President.  She will not be the Republican nominee just because she is popular.  We will need to have the votes to win the caucuses and primaries.

PUSH BACK
We, as individuals, can work to elect Gov. Palin in several ways in addition to just voting for her.  If you are a registered Republican, you can get involved in the Republican Party Central Committee in your county.  This is a movement of the people and needs to be represented in the local political establishment.  We can work to redefine Gov. Palin in the minds of friends and associates.  During the election of 2008, the Republican Party was unprepared and allowed the democrat media to define Sarah.  It is time to push back with the truth.  Gov. Palin is a leader with a record of accomplishment and is not a political neophyte as she is being portrayed.   If you are a Tea Party patriot, you can spread the word at Tea Party events and stress the importance of influencing the Republicans from within, rather than as outsiders.  If you are a Democrat and know others who feel that their party has left them, give them the truth about Gov. Palin.  Take every opportunity to build a constituency for Sarah.  It was encouraging to see so many college students at the Palin book signings. If you are a student, do your friends know about Sarah?  It should be inspiring to the young ladies to see a woman reaching for the highest office in the land.  In 2012 neither the media nor the Party elites will handpick our candidate.

FOCUS ON THE FUTURE
Many of us are still upset at Republicans for abandoning fiscal conservatism.  That's the past.  If we are to elect President  Sarah Palin in 2012, we must look ahead.  We must work to replace the Democrat majority in Congress in 2010 to minimize the damage and to use the apparatus of the Republican Party to obtain victory for Gov. Palin in 2012 to begin a return to personal and political responsibility.  If we don't exert our influence on the Party we risk Republicans repeating the errors of the past.  The goal is Nov 2012, but we have to start now to achieve the goal.  There is much work to be done but if we are true to our purpose, at the end of the day we will be able to look our children and grandchildren in the eye with confidence that we've left them a better country.
