As Gov.Palin takes a few weeks away from her speaking schedule to work on other projects, the critics, left and right, seem to have gone into overtime. Blog posts are urging Gov.Palin to be hired as RNC Chair. Critics are trying to repeat the tired and disproven lies that were circulated about her in 2008 apparently believing that telling a disproven lie will again bring it to life.
If Gov. Palin were to take over as RNC Chair, it would be akin to taking your fastest race horse and hooking her up to the milk wagon. Her opponents for 2012 would like to see another resignation added to her resume, and that would certainly have to happen if she wanted to seek the nomination. The move to draft Palin as RNC Chair is simply a way to put her on the sidelines for 2012. No one seems to be suggesting that Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee should replace Michael Steele.
Some Republicans have dismissed Palin on the basis of rumors and lies the media is good at spreading but not very good at disavowing when they are discredited. Sarah Palin wrote "Going Rogue" to give readers a clear picture of who she is and what motivates her. Anyone who is inclined to believe the hit pieces should widen their perspective and read "Going Rogue".
