The firing of FoxNews personality Juan Williams from National Public Radio for essentially doing his job on Fox is the first salvo in what may be an extended battle. Much like the stock market anticipates negative news, the left is acting in anticipation of the defeat they will receive on Nov. 2nd and striking out against those they blame for it. FoxNews, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, Tea Party Express, Sarah Palin and Jim DeMint will be the targets.
Another hit piece appeared today on Politico.com attempting to put a rift between Gov. Palin and conservative talk radio. Everyone mentioned in the article has called it a total fabrication. The fact that the article made false accusations that involved Gov. Palin, Mark Levin, Glen Beck, and a number of Senate Republicans and that all have denied the article does not detract from its effectiveness. Those who would believe it will also believe that all the parties involved would lie and deny it. Even though it would not benefit Gov. Palin in any way to cancel appearances, fail to keep an organized calendar, and be disrespectful of the relationships she has in the conservative media, the audience for these lies believes that she is so stupid, scatter-brained, and despicable that the stories must be true. Politico has not retracted the article as of this writing.
Get ready for more vindictiveness from the left. As the left may have little legislative authority starting in January, the efforts will center on the executive and judicial branches that they will still control and their conspirators in the media. If you think the attacks on Gov. Palin have been intense since 2008, they will be much worse going forward. Someone must be punished for getting in the way of the progress of the Progressive Movement and it will be FoxNews, talk radio, and Gov. Palin.

O'Donnell right, Coons Wrong
It's interesting that law students should laugh at Christine O'Donnell for asking where in the Constitution do you find "separation of church and state". It's a simple matter to read the first amendment to see if separation of church and state is there. It's not. Arguing that it is requires that you to believe that what isn't there, is. It requires a replacement of reality with an alternate reality. It requires replacement of what is there with someone's interpretation of what is there. Such is the insanity of liberalism.
In 1947, Justice Hugo Black created the wall of separation between church and state out of a phrase in the later correspondence of Thomas Jefferson. He and four other justices on the Supreme Court imposed upon the country the doctrine that you can't pray in certain places, you can't mention the creator in certain circumstances even though both of these are restrictions on exercising religious freedom and restricting religious worship is specifically prohibited in the first amendment.
Christine O'Donnell was correct. You won't find separation of church and state in the Constitution. You have to dig through court decisions to find it. Court decisions do not amend the Constitution, they only interpret it and their interpretation can be re-interpreted.

Media Orgasms
This week two more totally unfounded rumors were circulated by the media about the Palins. The first involved Sarah Palin's appearance to watch daughter, Bristol, on Dancing with the Stars. Because there was booing before she was interviewed, the booing was attributed to Sarah being unpopular with the audience. DWTS, the number one show on television, had to take time the next evening to show that the booing related to low scores given to a couple that had just danced and had nothing to do with Gov. Palin.
The second "controversy" that was media created was Bristol's appearance in support of DWTS at the Rumrunners, an Anchorage bar and grill. Her dance partner, also a musician, gave a performance and Bristol attended and ate some nachos and drank a glass of water. The event was covered by Entertainment Tonight and her attendance had been publicized for three days on the Bob and Mark radio show in Anchorage. The next day, the Alaska media went nuts. What was a 19 year old doing in a bar? Did Bristol break the law? No one in the media bothered to check the business license status of the bar and grill. If they had, they would have found out that the Rumrunners is licensed as a restaurant and it is legal for anyone 16 years of age to be there and eat there. Younger children can also eat there with their familes. After the media learned that Bristol's presence there was not violating any law, then they had to ask, was she drinking? The Alaska beverage control was forced to conduct an investigation, gather film of the event and waste more of Alaskans' money investigating the Palins. Many Alaskans will not hear about the resolution of this and will come away believing that Bristol was drinking in a bar and that the Palin family thinks they are above the law.
Why is it so important for people to believe that Sarah Palin's daughter has committed some crime? Why is it so important that people think that Sarah Palin is unpopular? It's hard to believe that Gov. Palin has done anything to anyone sufficient to justify such hate. Is it jealousy? Do some people resent Gov. Palin's success in business, politics, and her personal life? It's hard to believe that jealousy could provoke such a response. A more obvious reason is partisan political opposition. Given that Gov. Palin did not govern from the extreme right in Alaska, and much of the anti-Palin sentiment is in Alaska, the political impetus must be coming from outside. Perhaps some Alaska democrats feel a certain amount of guilt at having worked with Palin and having contributed to her success as governor. Now that she's in the national arena, they have to redeem themselves by destroying what they helped to create. Whatever the motivations, Palin supporters call this condition "Palin Derangement Syndrome or PDS". The symptoms are that the sufferer is wedded to Sarah Palin 24/7. They over-amplify every one of her actions and the actions of those who are with her and impute to them some inordinate significance. They create rumors based on their "observations", circulate them on the internet and in the media creating the impression that Sarah Palin is some kind of idiot, hick, or otherwise dangerous person. Not only does "PDS" affect the Palin family, but also anyone who is around them. Even the DWTS audience was painted with the "PDS" brush.
The rumors of this week are not the last we will hear about Gov. Palin. It would be a wonderful thing if, in the future, the rumors were about Sarah, and not about members of the Palin family, who have not and will not be seeking public office.

Another Week, Another Hit Piece
A man named Gross has lived up to his name publishing the ultimate of hit pieces in Vanity Fair. The "information" contained in the article was not the story this time. The story was the reaction to it. Gross depicted Palin as the Wicked Witch of the West, demeaning her husband, tossing around the "f" bomb, and throwing cans of food. He criticized every aspect of her life , her politics, her religion, her family life, as being fraudulent. To bolster his case, he named only one second-hand source with all the juicy bits being provided by that always reliable "anonymous".
This time, even some liberals had had enough. Some liberal feminists thought the author was criticizing Palin for qualities that a male politician might be admired for. They missed the point. It was all lies. Many on all ends of the spectrum knew that it was lies and wondered aloud what journalism was coming to when a major publication would print such a story without documentation.
Get ready, another will be coming along soon. Author, Joe McGinniss, has completed his "vacation" living next door to Sarah and Todd. He will soon produce a book based on many of the same sources as this article, although possibly better written. The question is - Have people had enough of this? Is the opinion of a dozen or so unnamed Alaska critics and bloggers sufficient to counter-balance more than 2 million Sarah Palin Facebook friends?
What the seemingly endless and baseless critiques of Sarah Palin tell us is that there is a necessity to make her out to be a fraud. The left can not accept the fact that a woman can achieve success in her personal and public life, being guided by her religion and while holding conservative values. The life of Sarah Palin is a poke in the eye to their value system. The idea that a woman would knowingly give birth to a Down Syndrome baby challenges their view that abortion is a sacrament and that the disabled have little value to society. That a woman can achieve success at the highest levels of government without sleeping her way to the top is just not possible. If Sarah Palin is not exposed as a fraud she might peel away enough women voters from believing the liberal victimization agenda that the Democrat Party would lose the largest component of its coalition. Liberals will stop at nothing to expose this fraud. Every sentence she speaks will be parsed, every eye movement played back in slow motion and, if they could, they would crawl under the covers with Todd and Sarah to report back on their sex life.
Since this latest attack fell flat and forced an admission that one of the assertions that the author was supposed to have seen himself was untrue, the public may have gotten the measure of these Palin-haters and their small number of Alaska confederates. The appetite for more sleaze may be diminishing.

A Good Week for Governor Palin
Five for five is a very good batting average in baseball and seldom achieved in politics. Tuesday's elections resulted in all five of Gov.Palin's endorsements winning their primaries. Just as critics were saying that the Palin magic was over, evidence of her influence hit them squarely in the face. Just as critics were minimizing the importance of the tea party groups, the tea party candidates defeated candidates supported by establishment Republicans.
This would be bad enough for the Palin Derangement Syndrome sufferers, but that was only the beginning of a bad week for them. Gov.Palin had two more successful speeches and then appeared at the Glen Beck "Restore Honor" Rally. Hundreds of thousands attended the event at the Lincoln Memorial and Palin's appearance was among the highlights of a successful event. This was not a political event, but instead, one aimed at encouraging a spiritual revival in America and support for our military. Beck and Palin both recognize that in order to return America to living within its means and under the Constitution, a spiritual as well as political awakening must occur.
The media reacted to the huge turnout to this event with disbelief. Some reports only mentioned that there were two rallies, the other by liberal Al Sharpton and they dealt with them as being equivalent. Of course hundreds of thousands attended "Restore Honor" while the Sharpton rally drew hundreds to maybe a thousand. It doesn't seem to matter to these guardians of our liberty that the whole thing was on C-Span and that photos give the lie to their reports.
Gov. Palin gave an impassioned speech supporting our military, one that could have been delivered by a patriotic president. In the absence of such, Gov. Palin filled the role well. Many in the audience were seen wiping their eyes as she detailed the heroics of three veterans being honored. Palin wiped her eyes as well as the bagpipes played "Amazing Grace".
Although the Beck event had no relationship to any tea party group, the media referred to it as a large tea party rally, hoping the tar they had thrown at the tea party might stick to the "Restore Honor" attendees. Some pundits claimed the group was racist, ignoring a large number of black featured speakers and performers. Few mentioned that Martin Luther King's niece, a staunch pro-life advocate, was one of the featured speakers.
Gov. Palin is probably the only politician on the national scene that has not only supported smaller government, advocated by the tea party groups, but also achieved it while in office. She is also the only politician who has always advocated pro-life decisions, and also has lived out those decisions in her own life. She can act as standard-bearer for three separate movements, tea party, pro-life spiritual revival, and a reinvigorated woman's movement that includes married women and mothers. With estimates of tea party support at over 20% and pro-life at over 50% and women making up over 50% of voters, the convergence of these groups headed into 2012 bodes well for a Palin candidacy.
As I watch today's McLaughlin Report, recorded earlier in the week, the panelists are discussing who will be the Republican 2012 nominee. Only Pat Buchanan mentions Palin. The others all hold to the belief that Republicans will do as they always have and nominate the one who is next in line, Mitt Romney. The tea party people are just a few kooks and democrats will easily defeat them. I wonder if they should start taping their program later in the week.

Who is Driving this Wagon?
Gov. Palin has President Obama right where she wants him and people are starting to notice. By bringing the Cordoba Mosque into the national discussion on her Facebook page, Sarah Palin said what a president of the US should have said if they were representing the people and a nation that had been attacked by militants acting in the name of Islam. She put the president to shame (politely) for not having stated a position on the mosque, but it didn't start there.
Gov.Palin had just finished criticizing Obama for inaction on protecting us from illegal immigration, stating that he lacked "cojones" to enforce the immigration laws. The kick in the cojones was closely followed with bringing up the mosque issue. He knew he must show that he had the courage to respond and he did by telling a Muslim audience that he supported the Mosque. Reaction from democrat candidates across the nation prompted a next-day clarification that defies understanding. He was agnostic toward the mosque before he was for it, and he was still agnostic. Gov. Palin had painted him into a corner. She then proceeded to show him an escape path, a plan by Gov. Paterson to encourage the building of the mosque at a different location. All he has to do is add his encouragement to that of Gov. Paterson. She has imprisoned him and is now dangling the keys in front of him.
Gov. Palin has been driving the wagon of public discussion for some time now beginning with her "death panels" comments on the health care bill. Now that the bill has passed and we can find out what was in it, we find many boards and panels politically appointed and composed of non-medical personnel that determine standards of care, and in individual cases determine who will get care and who won't. In other words, death panels.
Gov. Palin is starting to raise questions in the heads of even NY liberals. Why am I agreeing with what Sarah Palin is saying about the mosque while I'm disagreeing with my president? Why do I think she's more right than he is about our relationship with Israel? Am I starting to think that she has better judgment than Obama? Am I starting to doubt that she's a stupid woman and if so, am I starting to doubt what the media has been repeating over and over. Am I starting to realize that her daughter's pregnancy was irrelevant to whether Gov. Palin would be a good president?
Equating building the mosque at Ground Zero to an issue of freedom of religion is a major error that the democrats are now being forced to buy into. We have the freedom to own a gun, but not to take it on an airplane. We have the freedom to speak but not to threaten. Muslims have the freedom to follow their religion but not to gloat at the site where nearly 3000 people lost their lives while celebrations erupted in Muslim nations across the globe.

Eye-Rolling Vs. Being Rolled
This is what it's come down to. Every body movement is scrutinized in an attempt to find some negative to attribute to Sarah Palin. This time it's an attempt to show that Sarah doesn't like teachers. When a lady protester with a sign that said "World's Worst Governor" said she was a teacher Gov. Palin dissed teachers by rolling her eyes. So they say. Of course, Sarah comes from a family of teachers so we know that's not true.
When Barack Obama is involved, it's a different matter. There is no need to examine his body movements, his eyebrows, or manner of dress to determine his attitude toward anyone. His speech doesn't seem to matter either. When he said that certain people were bitter clingers clinging to their guns and religion, that didn't mean anything. He wasn't dissing people who believe in the Second Amendment and he certainly wasn't meaning to put down religious people. When he said in his book that he sought out Marxist professors in college, that didn't mean he was interested in Marxism or that he was a Marxist. When he told Joe the Plumber that he wanted to "spread the wealth around", that couldn't possibly mean that he believed in socialism. When he told George Stephanopolis that he was a Muslim and George had to correct him and tell him he was a Christian, that was just a meaningless misstatement. When he said that Europe was a country and that he had visited 57 states, he must have been tired. When he ordered a full court press against the State of Arizona for wanting to have federal immigration law enforced, he wasn't disrespecting Arizona voters and their elected officials--no problem. When he appointed admitted communists, Marxists, and socialists to office, that didn't mean anything either, but when Sarah Palin moves her eyebrows... what an awful person she is.
Gov.Palin has given hundreds of speeches covering just about every aspect of American life from international politics to energy to womens issues to religion. What the media covers is her appearance, anything they can piece together to make her appear stupid, and the latest antics of Levi Johnston.
The media gave up it's neutrality long ago, but criticizing Palin based on eyebrow movement while ignoring Obama's blatant actions and statements is taking the bias to an extreme.

The Real Shame of Journo-list
Everyone knew that Sarah Palin and the McCain-Palin ticket were being unfairly attacked by the media in the 2008 election. Now the release by the Daily Caller of the Journo-list traffic has shown many of the details. About 100 names of "journalists" posting on this list have been released thus far out of the more than 400 list members. The remaining 300 seem to have been mostly readers rather than posters. Those readers may have been just as much a part of the conspiracy as the posters if they took the ideas suggested on the list and included them in their supposedly unbiased news pieces.
The true shame now lies with the media companies who have now seen evidence that their employees participated in an effort to discredit one campaign while it boosted another in a presidential election. No media company has discharged anyone, publicly chastised anyone, or disavowed any of these activities. The "journalists" have moved on to another list, the media outlets keep churning out material, and nothing appears to have changed.
When we select a president we are not deciding a popularity contest. We are deciding on the course for the our nation for years to come. In making that decision is there any importance how much a candidate's clothes cost, or whether their daughter is pregnant? It might be nice to know about who their role models and close associates are and what their executive experience is, what their vision of America is, and what they have accomplished in the positions they have held. Unfortunately, covering those areas would not have been beneficial to democrats, so what we received was a steady bombardment of criticisms of mannerisms, speech, phoney rumors, and whatever else was discussed on Journo-list.
Media outlets owe America an apology and they need to take action against members of this list who have strayed from the tenets of journalism. If they are going to purport to be fair they must rid themselves of those who have proven themselves unfair. Integrity might be successful if given a chance.

While Mama Grizzly is in Alaska, the Cubs Will Play
As Gov.Palin takes a few weeks away from her speaking schedule to work on other projects, the critics, left and right, seem to have gone into overtime. Blog posts are urging Gov.Palin to be hired as RNC Chair. Critics are trying to repeat the tired and disproven lies that were circulated about her in 2008 apparently believing that telling a disproven lie will again bring it to life.
If Gov. Palin were to take over as RNC Chair, it would be akin to taking your fastest race horse and hooking her up to the milk wagon. Her opponents for 2012 would like to see another resignation added to her resume, and that would certainly have to happen if she wanted to seek the nomination. The move to draft Palin as RNC Chair is simply a way to put her on the sidelines for 2012. No one seems to be suggesting that Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee should replace Michael Steele.
Some Republicans have dismissed Palin on the basis of rumors and lies the media is good at spreading but not very good at disavowing when they are discredited. Sarah Palin wrote "Going Rogue" to give readers a clear picture of who she is and what motivates her. Anyone who is inclined to believe the hit pieces should widen their perspective and read "Going Rogue".

Water for Farmers-A New Bargaining Chip?
Isn't it a little odd that after resisting all pressure to turn on the spigot for California farmers and allow them the water they need to grow crops and stay in business, that during the middle of health care negotiations when the votes of two Democrat California Congressmen are needed, the water will now flow?
Congressmen Dennis Cardoza and Jim Costa from California's central valley have been hold outs on the health care takeover bill. The EPA will now allow farmers 25% of their annual allocation rather than the 5% they had been previously authorized. Whether the protected Delta Smelt suffer as a result is not known, but since fish don't vote, it's immaterial. Protecting the small non-native fish has cost some central valley farmers their businesses. Farmers are unlikely to view using water as a political bargaining chip favorably.
Cardoza and Costa have yet to officially transfer their support to the "Yes" column, so continued calling at their offices may still yield results.

Health Care Express
Yes, the goal of this blog is to elect Gov. Sarah Palin as president in 2012, but there are more pressing tasks at hand. First we must stop the train that is rolling forward to a socialist America. Pres. Obama is the engineer but he prefers to takes his hands off the wheel and allow Pelosi and Reid to alternate taking command. The "health care plan" they have arrived at is as bi-polar as the method by which it was created. It will not reduce the costs of health insurance. It will not cover everyone or nearly so as it was promised. It will not allow you to keep your current plan. The only fair thing to be said for the plan is that we'll all be in the same mess together, unless you're in Congress that is. Congress will still have their plan. The health care bill is simply a power grab for federal control of powers that had been reserved to the states.
Even the liberals in the House won't vote to pass the Senate health care bill. In order to "pass" the bill, a ruse has been devised to allow the House to "consider the bill passed" after an amending bill has been passed. The thinking is that this will allow the President to sign the Senate bill into law. Then the Senate can consider the amendments and presumably pass them using a procedure called budget reconciliation that has never before been used on a substantive bill. There is a great big problem with this process. It's clearly unconstitutional.
Article 1 Section 7 of the Constitution says that every bill that passes the Senate and the House shall be sent to the President for his signature. In this case, the House will be sending a bill to the President that has not been passed, only "considered passed". Obviously the intent of the House would be that the Senate bill would be passed with changes. The House can not pass a bill without voting on the bill. Bypassing the requirements spelled out in the Constitution is a betrayal of the Constitution. The President would violate his oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution would he sign a bill under such circumstances.
Another side effect of bypassing constitutional requirements that have served well for over 200 years, is how people will react to having the Constitution cast aside. The administration's representatives have said that the people are ignorant of process and don't care about it. Nothing could be farther from the truth. We elect people and expect that they will follow the rules.
This health care bill stinks. The process being used to pass it stinks. The people pushing the process are beginning to stink. The American people can still smell. We haven't lost our senses as many in Congress seem to have. Congress, stop the health care express before it rolls off the bridge into the abyss. There is still time.
